Oracle Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management (FDM) is a comprehensive, web-based data management application. It provides guided workflows to transform and map data from sources such as Excel, general ledgers, ERP systems, flat files or other ETL solutions into a format that integrates with the Oracle Hyperion suite of applications.
The data preparation server handles cleansing and files transformation, automatic task scheduling, and provides textual document archiving features. The underlying database provides a staging area for data submissions, allowing full audit review.
A range of adaptors can then be employed to provide pre-packaged integrations that plug the source systems into the EPM applications. The adaptors allow FDM to load source data including supplemental information and line item detail, validate it and feed the result into the destination application. Over a hundred standard verification reports come pre-configured 'out-of-the-box' that further enhance the audit ability of the data submission process, and highlight deficiencies in mappings, source file problems and drawing attention to the site locations that are struggling to submit, allowing appropriate action to be taken without delay.
